COMMUNITY

JAR Construction has been a part of building the El Paso community for over sixty years.  We believe in giving back to our community and have chosen several charities that support missions that share our core values..  From helping mothers in unplanned pregnancies, to supporting families who find themselves homeless to helping pediatric oncology patients, giving back to the community in which we work and live is part of JAR’s core values.

El Paso Big Dig Site 2019 - Hosted by JAR with a donation of $23,250

The mission of the American Cancer Society is to save lives, celebrate lives, and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

The American Cancer Society is working to finish the fight against every cancer in every community. They are the largest private, not-for-profit funder of cancer research in the United States, investing more than $4 billion since 1946. Thanks in part to many contributions, more than 1.5 million lives have been saved in the US in the past two decades. Now, that is a reason to celebrate!

JAR DONATES TIRES FOR THE "TIRED OF CANCER" CAMPAIGN.

In February, JAR Construction donated 28 used tires to the Rio Grande Cancer Foundation for their “Tired of Cancer” campaign. The tires were decorated by local businesses, nonprofit organizations, school groups and individuals for the Krispy Kreme Glazed Gauntlet obstacle course at the Second Annual Run Together 5K Run/Walk.

El Paso Children's Hospital Room, Sponsored by JAR

JAR Construction is committed to helping organizations addressing the needs of pediatric oncology patients. For this reason, JAR sponsored a room at El Paso Children’s Hospital on the pediatric oncology floor. We support the mission of El Paso Children’s Hospital to provide compassionate, coordinated, family-centered care for children with a focus on innovative pediatric research and education.

Willie Sanchez Rosales Family Center

JAR Construction supports the Willie Sanchez Rosales Family Center (WSRFC), a homeless shelter started by Rose and Joe Rosales, Sr. in memory of their son Willie. The WSRFC is a place a family can call home while they transition out of homelessness. It is estimated that 1,394 people are homeless in El Paso and 343 of those are children. Knowing that homelessness affects the entire family, especially children, the WSRFC has opened their doors to provide a safe place for families to live and remain together. The staff and volunteers help reduce the stress of being homeless by keeping families together.
