Scope of Work

Project consisted of installation/replacement of sidewalk and landscaping along Santa Fe St. between Main Dr. and San Antonio Ave. Pedestrian facilities to be installed with this project consist of widening of the sidewalk at the northeast corner of the intersection with San Antonio, new curb and gutter, new ADA accessible curb ramps, new stamped/colored crosswalks, introduction of landscaping elements such as 3” caliper trees with grates, new irrigation system, and new street lights typical to the ones located in the downtown area.

Original Contract Time: 90 calendar days (3 months)

Completion Time: 3 months (on time)

Scope of Work

Project consisted of a pedestrian platform extending from the ballpark site over the Bataan Railway to the South and a smaller pedestrian bridge extending from the ballpark site over the Bataan Railway to the South. The platform and bridge both had deep foundations on the South side of the Bataan Railway.  Project scope for the platform included the following: 70’ piers, structural steel members and a metal deck with poured concrete on the Eastern 1/3rd of the platform and structural steel members with removable precast slabs on the Western 2/3rds of the platform. There are steps from Santa Fe Street up to the platform, a set of pilasters with fencing and gates in between, and a trellis. Project also included a lit signage element hanging from the trellis with a minimal amount of electrical outlets and lighting surrounding the platform. On the South side of the platform a steel fence sits on top of the brick wall. The North side of the platform tied in with the ballpark hardscape.

Original Contract Time: 200 calendar days (7 months)

Completion Time: 7 months (on time)

The project supports the development of a pedestrian and bicycle corridor along Independence Dr. between Yarbrough Dr. and Whittier Dr. The project consists of a 14 ft. pedestrian and bicycle path with shade trees, vegetation and other amenities.  The corridor will provide connectivity to several existing neighborhoods, J.P. Shawyer Park, and the existing Yarbrough Dr. bike lane. The total length of the pedestrian and bicycle corridor project is 4,765 feet and runs parallel to Independence Dr.

161 calendar days (5 ½ months)    Anticipated Completion Time: 4 months
